Time: 10: 00 am - 2:30 pm  - includes morning tea and a 30-minute lunch break (BYO).

Ideal for: Beginners to intermediate students.

 

 

Tuition includes:

  • all tools and materials (including two pre-formed, medium-sized cylinders for you to add your own handles)

  • free bisque firing of your completed works

  • the option to have your works glazed and fired at the studio for an additional $15 each.

 

The course will cover:

  • Design considerations for functional handles

  • Different ways to construct and attach handles

  • Tips to create a more refined-looking handle

 

The class will focus primarily on mug handles, but the lessons also apply to other types of handles. Participants can bring their own thrown form or practice on one of our pre-thrown forms.

  • If the organiser cancels the class, you are entitled to a full refund.

    If you can't attend the class:

    • A refund can be requested seven days before class starts. An admin fee of AU$50.00 applies.
    • A credit note can be requested up to 48 hours before the class starts. An admin fee of AU$ 25.00 applies.

    No changes will be allowed after these times.

    Anyone partaking in classes or attending any events at Home Clay Studio or organised by Home Clay Studio must agree to these terms and conditions.

    1.) LIABILITY WAIVER

    I agree to take on full responsibility for any damages, injuries and for physical and personal property which I might incur whilst participating in classes and events organised by Home Clay Studio.

    2.) PHOTO & VIDEO

    I agree to give Home Clay Studio unrestricted publishing rights for any photographs or videos taken at Home Clay Studio classes and events or on Home Clay Studio premises. (For the use of Home Clay Studio marketing materials).
